History:

Yemaya Maia Wills was born in Mililani, Hawaii on a raining night, to both her parents Daniel and Lilola Wills. For Daniel's family came from a long of Witches through the generations. Everything from Witches, even a few Humans and Werewolves, but the Wills family was considered a magical one. While in the military, Daniel was sent on a assignment for the Army and was stationed to a base in Hawaii. One day while out in the city of Mililani, Daniel met a stunningly beautiful woman, with straight dark blond hair, blue green eyes and almost pale skin, she was named Lilola. He was enchanted by her beauty and free spirit that he had to know more about her. They eventually soon fell in love and got married. Shortly a few years later on, Lilola gave birth to identical twins she named Oshuna Meme and Yemaya Maia Wills.



Maia is one out of two girls. She is the younger twin, born four minutes after her sister, and Maia has Green eyes, she liked wearing light colors such as Pink, Yellow, and Light Blue. As she got older, Maia started wearing her hair a certain way for people to tell the twins apart. She liked styling her hair all up in a high ponytail, or in a half up and half down look, or down in two braids or ponytails. To help her look different from her sister Meme, because Meme always chose to wear her hair down.



From a young age Maia was told that her sister Meme and her both had their mother's beauty, which at first was a good thing, until she started getting older. Maia's childhood was normally at first. But shortly after Maia had turned eight years old, two things happen. The first was when Maia learned that her father was going to go on deployment over seas for the military, and her father Daniel wanted her mother Lilola and the girls to go stay with Daniel's family in Louisana until her father got back. While her mother wasn't happy about it, but Lilola welcomed the help with the girls.



After moving to Louisiana, Maia could tell right away that it was very different from the way her family lived in Hawaii. Mostly the way people kept giving Maia, along with her sister and mother strange looks, but after a while Maia got used to it. The days went by and then turned I to weeks and then months. Then one day after nine months Maia got a surprised to find out her father was coming home from deployment and Maia hoped things would start to go back to normal, because Maia hated to see her mother Lilola hurt and Maia knew how much her mother missed her father being home.




The second thing that changed was a night that will forever haunt her. Six months after her father came one, one day everything changed. One day both the girls were out with their mother, and was on their way home. It grew late outside and was after sunset. On the way, back, it was night time and dark. Her mother and the girls were on their way home, and instead of taking the very long way around, which lead down a very dark street with no lights, her mother decided to cut through a park that was a little more lit up. Just as they were about to make it out of the park, when Maia's mother heard a noise. The girls thought everything was fine, since each of them were holding their mothers hand. Until their mother heard a noise again and pulled them behind a tree and made them ducked down.



Maia didn't know what was going on, but she saw that her mother was starting to empty out her purse, as if she was looking for something, and she was. Soon her mother pulled out four small round bottles. In the faint light from a street light, she saw two looked red and the other blue. Then her mother turned to look over at Maia and her sister Meme, while whispering to them. "Girls listen to me. I want you to do two things for me. One is this. Take these bottles and keep them with you. The red one", Her mother raised one up, to show them. "This red one is for you, in case you get cold. It will help warm you up, and keep you warm for a while, so you won't be cold"., Her mother said then placed a bottle in each of the twins hands.



Then as the girls kept quiet, Maia's mother went on to explain a few more things to the two girls. "This blue one here"., Her mother raised up to show them. "The blue one, is for if you get hot, then take off your jacket. If your still too hot, then take the blue one, it will help cool you back down. But after a while, if your cold put your jacket back on". Her mother said, then handed them one each. Maia saw her mother look around before turning back to them. "Now this next one, I want you girls to promise me. That no matter what happens next, you girls always stay together. You stay together and protect each other at all times, as you two are stronger together then you are apart.", Her mother said. Then stopped and took a look around then. At that moment, Maia was too scared to do the same, she just kept her eyes on her mother.



This time when she heard a noise, Maia quickly scanned and looked around her. She wish she knew what or who was making those creepy noises, she kept hearing. And Maia wished her father was there. Then her mother quickly finished giving them directions. "I want you girls to wait for me, to come back. I have to go check the area before we go. If I'm not back after a while, call you your father with my phone, to come get you. If he doesn't answer, then just wait for mommy to come back. If someone finds you, do you girls remember the spell I taught you to keep your focus"., Her mother asked them. Maia nodded her head yes, saying she did remember that. It was a spell that their mother taught them, that helps them focus on keeping their mind blank, as if not thinking of anything.



At times, Maia never understood why her mother taught them the spell, but little did she know it would save her later on down the road. Soon her mother continued on telling them what to do. "If someone that isn't me or your daddy finds you, make sure you do that spell ok. Mommy is going to go get help and find daddy, you girls stay here and make sure to stay together at all times. If it gets too dark, you have a few candles for a little light"., Her mother said, then handed them three candles. When they heard a noise come closer, Maia got a little scared, but she promised her mother. "I promise mommy. I will stay with my sister and help her too"., Maia said, then looked over at her sister. She was surprised that Meme was already looking directly at her, with a serious look on her face, before her sister turned to look at their mother.



Then Maia heard her sister also give her promise then. "Yes mommy. I promise to protect my sister, and help her too", Her sister Meme said. At first, Maia didn't understand the tone that her sister used, but she saw the look on Memes face. Their mother then lead them to a playground structure near by, that had a little cabin a the top, that eventually lead to a twist around slide. Her mother instructed them to go up into the cabin, before while they were climbing, Maia felt something wet, and looked down, she saw her mother threw some kind of potion on them right then. Once they were up there, Maia saw her mother run off, in the direction of the noise.



Like any young child Maia was scared, and was afraid of being alone in really dark places, but she trusted that her mother was going to go get help for them and would come back. Through the night, the weather got colder, but Maia didn't want to take the potion, because they only had two of each. At one point, she had no choice, she had to drink one to heat her up, because it was too cold to her. It seemed fine for her sister Meme, but for Maia she didn't feel that way so she drank her potion, but wasn't sure how long it would last. After a while, she got too hot, so she took off her jacket.



They were noises coming from around them, but she wasn't sure what they were, and was afraid someone would find them that wasn't their mother or father. As time grew late, Maia wanted to sleep but she was too scared, so Meme told her, that her sister would watch over her, while Maia got a little rest, so she could stay watch when the time came for her sister to sleep. The last thing Maia remembered was leaning on her sister's shoulder while Meme hummed a song to her, before she fell a sleep. Then suddenly the next thing she knew, Maia got woken up by her sister Meme, it seemed like only a few minutes had passed, but Maia saw that Meme was awake and pointed to something behind her, when she turned fully around to look, that's when Maia saw that her mother was there. That had to mean everything was fine right? That their mother was coming to take them home, which made her feel better, to know her mother was safe, but also why her mother had left them in the first place, but it made Maia wonder what her mother was trying to protect them from exactly.



After they got home, Maia was so tired she fell a sleep and didn't think any more of what happened. But when morning came was a different story. The girls woke to the sound of yelling coming from downstairs and went to see what all the noise was about. Maia was halfway down the stairs when her sister put her arm up to stop her from going any further. Maia looked over to give Meme a puzzled look, but her sister quietly told her to just listen. That's when she learned what her parents were fighting over about last night. Her mother yelling about she left the girls there to protect them from "Creatures of the Night" on they could pick up the girls scent. And there was no way her mother could run with both the girls. So because of that her mother Lilola had to choose. Leave the girls to run to get help and distract whatever "Creature" that was following them, or stay and place all three of Lilola and the girls in danger. At that time, Maia wished she could understand what her parents were saying. But before she could, Maia heard the yelling started again before she saw her mother walk out and slam the door behind her. That's when she felt her sister Meme pull on her arm to go back upstairs.



Once in their room, both girls agreed to let their father calm down, before they went to ask what the yelling was about. Or just talk to their grandparents might know about it more. Maia noticed things were starting to become tense around the house after her parents last fight. It was like that the next two months, then one day things changed again once more. Maia and her sister came home from school, to walk in on her parents fighting again. This time it was much worse. Maia was shocked when her mother hugged both Meme and her, and made the girls promise to always take care and protect each other. After the girls agreed, her mother left. Little did Maia know that was the last tine she would ever see her mother again.



Over time Maia wondered if her mother would come back. But days turned into weeks and months, with still no word. It also made her want to know more about her mother's side. Where did her mother come from? Did her mother have any family left to go stay with? Maia only knew her father's side growing up. Whenever she asked her father about her mother, he would never talk about it, and would only tell her that both, her sister Meme and her look just like their mother, along with they had her free spirit as well. After a while Maia finally left the subject of her mother alone. With Baton Rouge being a place full of her mother's memories, when her father got a new assignment to be stationed in California, Daniel took both her sister and her, then moved over to the San Diego Area. A place called Oceanside, where he had a few extended family members there to help him raised his children. Maia grew up in Oceanside, California.



Shortly after the move, Maia got to see more of her grandparents and and mother's side of the family. Soon Maia got to see and learn more about her mother's family. Like any young girl, Maia was always trying to find out what her grandmother was doing. When Maia started to show to signs of being interested in Magic, her mothers side of the family started teaching her things she should know. Such as potions and other things she could learn to defend herself, at a beginner level. Her grandmother took on the role has Maia's teacher and mentor in ways of the craft. Maia started school and slowly things started to get back to normal. Over the years as time went by, after many test, trials and errors, with the help of her grandmother and aunt, Maia learned that when working with magic, her was strongest Element was water. It blended well with her calm and peaceful nature, but still has moments when it could be dangerous as well.



Things went well until Maia entered her junior year in high school. That spring she started taking pre-college summer classes online, so when her graduation time camearound, she would already done with everything for the pre-classes and start going to work on her major. It was there that she made some new friends, and finally felt like belonged somewhere. One day, Maia bumped into a young gentlemen, she saw a few times. She remembered him from her history class. When boy didn't know what chapter they were om, Maia quietly whispered to him the answer. After that they seemed to click and got along. Enough that if either one needed help in history, then the other one would share their ideas on the subject. Soon they became friends and Maia started to really like him. At first, she only thought he liked her as a classmate, until they started hanging out. Eventually both of them started to open up to became close friends.



Just as things seem to finally be going right for once in a long time, Maia started to open up and let her guard down. She was thinking about maybe telling him how she felt, and that she liked him more then just a friend. Then things changed once more. It happened on the last day she saw her friend in class. The boy named Sed came to class and sat next to her, when Maia looked over at him, she saw that he looked either tired or upset about something, so she decided to as him what was wrong. "Nothing. I have a bad headache cause I stayed up all night trying to study for the test tomorrow, so I didn't get much sleep is all", he said. As Maia looked at him, she could see that he was right. That he did show signs of being either tired or stressed out. Maia bit her lip, she wanted to help, but she didn't know what to do or how to exactly.



After trying to think of ways to help her friend, something made Maia look down to think more clearly. That's when the idea came to her. Maia wore a necklace that had a Amethyst stone in a form of a tear drop. It was considered to be her good luck charm because she never took it off. The Amethyst stone was known for it's healing powers. Such as healing headaches, help balance moods, improve psychic abilities. It's also known well for protection; spiritual guidance and awareness, instinct and perception, breaking habits and quieting nightmares. Plus for Maia it always brought her good luck as well. Looking back up at the boy next to her who looked so tired, Maia finally made a choice.



For the first time she took off the necklace and hoped it could help her friend the way it did for her. Just before the Professor walked in, she leaned closer to him and spoke. "Here, please take this. It's my good luck charm. I'm letting you borrow it until the test tomorrow, then you can give it back to me then. I hope it brings you good luck and also helps get rid of the headache you have", she said. Maia put the necklace on him, before she leaned back to move further away from him. As she studied it, there was something about the way purple stone brought out his dark hair and blue eyes. For a minute Maia felt a little bare without the necklace on, but she knew it's for a very good reason. Plus, the stone had a lot of her personal energy inside it, from all of the spells she used. Everything from protection to healing spells she used, Maia knew with him wearing it, that her friend was protected.



When the boy thanked her, Maia just gave him one of her rare lovely smiles. He did seem to bring those out more. As the class started, Maia turned her attention back to her studies. After class was over, they hung out on campus for a while before parting ways for the afternoon. Little did Maia know that would be the last time she ever seen or heard from him again. That night Maia went to her local store, to grab a few items her grandmother needed for supplies, but for some reason Maia's mind kept going back to her friend, and she hoped he was alright. The next day, when Maia showed up for class, she noticed that something could be wrong.



Because her friend never showed up to class. She waited from the time her history class started, even until class ended when the Professor left. Her friend never showed up. She hoped he was alright and the boy didn't fell sick or anything. But after that day, Maia waited day by day to see if he came to class. The boy never did again. This had devastated her deeply, but Maia felt after all this time of finally being happy, that something had to go ruin it. Then it made her start to ask herself questions. Like did the boy  Sed know she was? Did the boy know she was a Witch? Did he really like her in the first place? Or was the boy just pretending just to get close to her? Maia's mind was spinning with so many questions, that it started to make her dizzy.



After school when she got home, her sister Meme asked her what was wrong. So Maia just vented and told Meme everything. But most of all, how Maia felt like a fool for opening up to someone so soon. Maia was grateful that her sister help comfort her and help ease Maia's mind. reminding Maia that sometimes people make mistakes and that's part of life. Just that next time, for Maia to be more careful in the future, and she took that advice to heart. But ever since that happened, Maia started having trouble opening up to people, but she mostly had a very time trusting males period.



At the start of her junior year in high school, Maia learned that her family had to move again, due to her father being reassigned to a new location. This meant Maia had to leave all her friends behind and start over in a new place. But soon things took a turn both for better and for the worst. Maia and her sister Meme soon made some new friends after they transferred to their brand new school. Maia met two girls by the names of Isabella and Lillian Robson. Soon all four girls Meme, Maia, Isabella and Lillian because good friends and hung out all the time. This because Maia's circle of friends. Things were going well for a while, and then halfway through the semester of Maia's junior year things took a turn for the worst. One day Maia learned that her sister Meme had been attacked by a boy from school on her way home and that the boy wouldn't take No for a answer and forced himself on Meme, and even though Meme fought hin off, the damage had been done. After learning this happened to her sister, Maia couldn't imagine on what Meme had to go through during the attack, but Maia had promised to be there for her sister to help Meme heal from it. Maia kept her promise.



After Maia learned of her sister Meme's attack, that made Maia stick very close to her sister as a way for her to watch over Meme while her sister healed. Maia soon realized that she wasn't the only one who got protective over Meme, because Maia  learned that Isabella and Lillian also agreed to watch over her sister as well. Maia learned that after Meme's attack, that her sister Meme never felt safe with any males after that happened, which is when Maia learned that Meme started dating only females from then on out. Maia was a little surprised to learn this, but if it meant that her sister Meme was happy and safe, then as far as Maia was concerned, that's all Maia cared about. Slowly things started to go back to normal around school, but even then Maia didn't trust anyone outside of her small circle of friends. When Maia's senior year of high school came, on the first spring break, Maia learned that her sister Meme and Isabella had started dating and were together as a couple. After finding this out, Maia gave the girls her blessing and she was happy that Meme and Isabella found happiness together. Maia just wondered if one day she could be so lucky to be that happy if she ever found the right person.



Once after graduating high school, Maia learned her father was going to be stationed somewhere else. At first, she didn't want to leave, then thought better of it, because now there was nothing holding her back there to the area. But Maia aless concerned about her sister, because the move went Meme had to leave her girlfriend Isabella behind. At first, Maia didn't know what to do or how she could support her sister Meme through that hard time. Maia learned her father was going to be relocated to be stationed in Las Vegas. Upon learning where they were moving to, Maia told her sister that the new city was still close enough where Isabella and Lillian could still come to visit them. Maia said it was a comprise and she thought it could work. Maia agreed to go with her family to move to a new city and was glad when her sister did the same. Shortly after her family moved down to Las Vegas, Maia tried to learn the city. Soon after just moving to the new city, it took a while to adjust and get settled in. A couple if weeks after, Maia started taking classes at a community college. She stayed in campus and got to know her school. As Maia tried to get things back to normal.



Shortly four years ago, is when Maia had learned about one of her families hidden dark secrets. It was the day that both of Maia and her sister Meme learned that one of their uncles on their father's side turned out to be a Werewolf. At the time, at first things seemed to be going just fine for the girls. Until one evening, a night at the end of the end of the month that Maia got a unexpected surprise. Earlier in the day Maia noticed that her dad and uncle was acting a little strange, different then they normally did, when her uncle came to visit. Maia knew her father was at work, and her uncle was suppose to be home but she couldn't find him in his room, so she searched the whole top level of the house looking for him. Her sister Meme looked to be a sleep.


But with no luck, Maia went downstairs to the bottom level, to search there, even the area of the basement. When Maia saw no trace of her uncle she called out to him. "Uncle Chris? Alright uncle where are you?", Maia called out. At first, she thought her uncle was playing a game with her, just so he could sneak up on her like her uncle used to do when Maia was a young girl. But when she walked outside in the small backyard, when she called out again and this time she heard a noise. The second time Maia called out for her father, she got a noise to go with it scared her. Maia had walked out into the center of the yard, when she called out and this time, she felt something knock her to the ground from behind her.


When she rolled over and looked up. Maia saw a black wolf, and then she screamed out. Her scream must have been too loud, for suddenly the animal ran away, hopped over the fence and left. But Maia's scream had woken up Meme, who came running toward her. When her sister Meme asked her what happened, there was no way for Maia to explain, she couldn't say anything but shake her head, because she was too much in shock. It didn't come back right away, until she learned why later on. Another night passed, before she encountered the same animal. This time Maia was with her sister Meme, coming back from their friends house late.


Upon coming through the house to the backyard to study, this time they both heard a noise and stopped. Maia forgot her backpack on the bench near the fence, and she went to go get it. But just as she reached the bench, she heard a noise that sounded like a growl, Maia looked up and saw the same animal that scared her last time. Maia screamed then ran away from it, just as she reached her sister. Before she could ask anything, Meme had jerked her by the arm and pulled, so that Maia was behind her, and so that Meme was in front. Maia peeked over her shoulder, wondered what were they going to do, and how to get her backpack away, since it was near the thing. At first, Maia was just going to rule out the bag and but new text books all together, until she heard Meme tell her to go into the house and lock the door.


After that, Maia didn't know what happened, but she was worried for her sister. Finally when Maia learned the truth that her sister  that her uncle was a Werewolf, at first she was afraid of him, until she got used to it.  Maia approached her father about this and that's when Maia learned, that her father Daniel already knew Things and was helping her uncle Chris during this time. Maia didn't know what to think but she did trust her father knew more about magical mystic creatures then she did, given that her father's has more experience as a Witch then Maia did. But things slowly got back to normal, and finally started to look up again. That was until two years ago, when her mother came back out of the blue. Everyone in the family was caught off guard. Maia was shocked. Her sister Meme was surprised but still never fully trusted their mother. Maia's father was probably the most caught off guard and shocked of all of them, but her father wanted to try again to see if Maia's parents could make it work this time.


Maia was happy for her parents getting back together and she gave them her blessing. Later on Maia learned that her friends Isabella and Lillian were soon moving to Las Vegas so that Isabella and Meme could be together without doing a long distance relationship. Maia hung out with her friend Lillian most of the time and the soon because best friends. Maia learned Lillian was going to finish her last two years of high school in Las Vegas but given everything, Maia welcomed the company. Things changed for Maia one day, while she was at her community college, Maia met a charming guy named Rafael at her school and they seemed to get along good at first, then they started dating.



Things were good for a few years. Then two unexpected happened. First was Maia's mother was going to have another child. It made Maia happy for her parents, but for some reason she noticed Meme was holding back, as if her sister didn't trust that things would work out. And there times when Maia really hated when her sister was right. Shortly after Maia's little brother Joseph turned two months old, everything changed once again. Maia came home one weekend for a visit, to only learn that her mother left to go to the store and never came back. Maia was angry to find out that the woman up and left again. But Meme wasn't surprised. Now with their father gone on leave with a military deployment, the girls had to think of what to do with their brother and how to take care of him. Maia still had the rest of the school term left. But eventually the end was, the girls agreed to keep their family together with their brother. Maia would watch Joseph on the weekends to give her sister a break. During the week Meme had him, until Maia's college term was over, then Maia would move back home to help. But both the girls knew sooner or later, one of them had to break the news to their family. The second thing that happened was Maia's relationship with Rafael took a really bad turn for the worse, because Rafael starting become very abusive to her. It got so bad that Maia couldn't go anywhere without Rafael following her. The fights got so bad that Maia didn't know how much more she could take or if she would survive the abuse to get out of the relationship, but Maia did know the one place that Rafael left her alone at was at Maia's school, the college was the one place Maia had peace. So one day while she was at school, Maia called her sister from a payphone and asked for help. Maia learned that her sister was going to send Lillian and Lillian's boyfriend Derrik for them to help Maia get out of a dangerous abusive relationship. At the moment, Maia welcomed all the help she could get. The day before the last day of school, Maia packed a few clothes in a small backpack and she took it to college with her. Once Maia's college final exam was over she walked out to meet her friends Lillian and Derrik, before getting in a car with them and leaving, Maia didn't register at that college again for classes and she never looked back.



Upon coming home to her sister Meme's house, is when Maia learned a few things. Such as Maia found out that Meme and Isabella were engaged, along with that Lillian and Derrik had been dating for a couple years too. Maia felt out of place but she was glad to have the support from her sister Meme and her future in-laws as well. After moving back home, Maia spent her time at first taking care of her little brother Joseph and Maia decided to start homeschool him. For the past two years things have been the same so far. Maia helped her sister with Joseph, to which they have switched schedules. One works during the day and the other at night. Recently, Maia learned she was accepted to a college in New York City with a part scholarship. Maia also learned that they still had family on their mother's side out there. That their uncle was a Professor, and that one of her aunt's owned a small herbal shop, that had different kinds of plants and herbs, to help people with things like colds and flu's. At least if the girls went, they wouldn't be completely alone by themselves. Maia also learned that once her father Daniel came back from military deployment, that her father would be stationed somewhere inside of New York state, either in Fort Drum in upstate NY or at Fort Hamilton in NYC.


Maia didn't know which one it was glong to be at first. But once her father came back a few months later, Maia finally learned her father would be stationed at Fort Hamilton in NYC. Before making a big move, Maia waited to see if her sister would get accepted to the same college too. Sure enough a few weeks later, is when Meme received her acceptance letter as well. Now after both the twins could go to the same college would work better for both of them to plan out their schedules around college and their brother. Along with Maia was glad that her father would be close as well in case Maia or her sister Meme needed their father for any reason. At one point, Maia was surprise to find out that her sister Meme and Isabella went to elope and got married before the move. Now Maia was glad it was official that Isabella, Lillian, and Derrik were Maia's in laws and part of Maia's family now. One could say Maia was happy to welcome a new sister and brother was how she saw Lillian and Derrik as Maia's younger siblings. Now with another big move, Maia is a little nervous about how this one is going to turn out this time around. While she is always on guard after getting out of a dangerous abusive relationship, but Maia still has hope that things would start to look up for her. Before moving, Maia was told by her sister Meme who did a tarot reading about her, that Maia would find the answers Maia was looking for on this new journey they were about to take for the next move. As Maia's family is about to move to New York City, now Maia is starting to wonder what would happen next.

Maia is very trustworthy, cause she knows how to keep secrets for her friends, and would never want to, betray their trust. One of the reason that makes Maia so, is cause she is very Loyal to her friends and will always stand by them, no matter what happens.



Honest:
She has a very kind hearted nature and is always Honest with others. Maia feels its always best to be honest with someone from the start, that way there is no Lies or Misunderstandings later on. Another thing is, Maia can't stand Two Faced people, who smiles in one face then Lies on them behind their backs.



Patient:
Maia is very patient. She wasn't always that way, but over time Maia has learn to have more patience. She believes in taking your time to do things right, the first time around. Instead of rushing through something, and end up paying for a mistake later on. Another thing is, she's normal patient with her friends and family. It takes a lot for someone to get on her nerves to even to see her temper.


Weakness:

Her Sister:
Maia's one true weakness would be her identical twin sister Meme. Mainly because she sees Meme has her protector and it has been that way since both girls were children. They always did things together, but ever since when the twins were young, and their mother left them alone in the dark, to go get help, Maia has looked to her sister as her protector and for strength. When she learned her father was a Werewolf, at the time it happened, Meme pulled her sister behind her, so that Maia was looked over her shoulder. Even then Meme was ready to protect her, even if it meant from their own father. If something ever were to happen to Meme, it would devastate her.



Withdrawn:
Maia never tells anyone how she really feels, she just keeps her feelings to herself. After being burned so many times in the past, she feels like why waste energy on someone, only to get hurt again. So instead, Maia ill make a drawing or painting, as a way to express what she is thinking right at that moment. Or Maia will go to a room, where there is a piano or keyboard, and she will express her emotions and feelings through music.



Quiet:
There are often times when, Maia can be very quiet and shy, has caused her problems for her. When first meeting someone new, she doesn't know, Maia is very shy, will be quiet and not talk much, until she feels comfortable. Once she gets a gets a good vibe for the other person near her, then she will open up a little more.



Guarded:
She is very guarded. Because Maia is alone so much, she is very wary of other people. Maia guards her emotions, and she hides them pretty well, even if someone thinks she is happy on the surface, that's not always the case. Maia believes it's because, she doesn't know who to trust, and instead of making a mistake and getting hurt by anyone, maybe its better to just not trust at all. That way, she will never have to worry about getting hurt by someone, or having her hurt someone else's feelings. Due to being burned in the past, Maia finds it hard to trust other people in general. For Maia feels more comfortable around females then males.



Overall Personality:
Yemaya who also goes by her nickname of Maia. First, she can be nice, sweet, kind and she has a sense of humor when she feels like it. She is the laid back, down to earth, and fun type. If she wants something then she is the type that goes after it what she wants. She loves to make new friends, although she can be shy at times and quiet when she first meets someone. If you are a friend of hers, she is one for life.



Does her best to always there for her friends if they need help or someone to talk to. She tends to give advise to her friends, is considered to be very loyal, and protective of them. If someone picks on one of her friends, then Maia will stand up for them, and she won't care who doesn't like it. She hates bullies who pick on people, and if a bully is picking on someone, she will step in to help the other person, even if she doesn't know someone or not, Maia still tries to help.



She is also telling her enemy and the bully, that she will not stand by and watch someone get hurt, and if they didn't like it, then they can deal with her. However, she does have her mean streak side to her as well. If she lets it out she can be cold, mean, or cruel. She can have a bit of bad temper at times too, when she is like this, she won't listen to anyone, and its best to just leave her alone until she calms down.



When she is really upset, Maia tends to say or do things that will push others away from her, so things can cool dawn, before she might say something she will regret later on. But one could have to really push her buttons to even see her temper. She loves being close to nature, such as camping, or being somewhere near water. At times, she can be a little blunt on some things that she says, when she speaks her mind. People that are around her will do fine as long as they don't get rub her the wrong way.



Unlike her twin Meme, she is more sweet, friendly, nice. She can be a risk taker on some things depending on what it is, she doesn't like some rules but Maia will do her best to make sure she follows them. For a while, most would consider he to be a very easy going, fun loving person. But lately after being hurt many times, Maia has become more closed off from others.


Because she doesn't trust anyone, and the only one she does trust, is her sister Meme. Maia still has a kind hearted and good nature, as she likes to help others, but now she has become more closed off then she used to be. Now Maia finds it harder for her to open up to someone she doesn't know, and she has a hard time letting her guard down to let them in. Since being burned in the past, Maia finds it hard to trust guys. If anything, she seems more comfortable around females then males.

A little of Earth magic used to strength the spells, which helps makes her casting stronger.

Maia always trusts her instincts, as they can let her sense when something isn't right with something or someone. This has saved her life more then once in the past.


Healing:
She is very good with healing magic and it's one of her favorite kinds of magic. Because allows Maia to show others, not all magic is bad or will cause harm.


Empathy:
Through her Tarot readings, Maia can sense when something is not right with someone. If she is close to them, she goes off of what their vibe or how they are feeling and can tell if their hiding something from her.

Offensive Magic:
Most of the things she knows are defensive spells to help better defend herself with. But Maia doesn't do well with certain spells, mostly with Offensive spells use to attack another person.

Like any Witch, Maia tries her best to always be prepared. Because no matter many precaution she takes, there is always a chance Maia could get hurt by a spell that has gone bad or wrong.


Family:
One of her biggest weakness would be her family. Maia loves both her father and sister very much, and would do almost anything to protect them.


Mortal:
As good or strong witch as she might be, Maia knows she is still only a human being, she can be killed just like anyone else.


Quiet:
Because she so quiet and shy when meeting new people, sometimes Maia can be too friendly and end up letting people walk all over her.

SOME ARE MORE THAN MEETS THE EYE...

It had been a long week, from all of the study and working she did, and all that Maia wanted, was to just go home and relax. But given the current time, with her still at work, she knew that wasn't possible. At the moment, Maia just got done with her studies, and was about to go home. She called ahead of time, to let all of her family knows, she was leaving. While on the phone, Maia got asked by her aunt, to stop by the shop to pick up a few items to take home. Maia agreed, then hung up and left. She wanted to start out, so she could get home before it gfew dark outside.



But as she was walking, Maia kept up at a good pace and a eye on her surroundings. She didn't have far to walk, but her aunt's shop wasn't exactly close either. It took her a hour and half to walk there. But once Maia got there, she checked in with her aunt. Then Her aunt asked if Maia could run to the bakery a few blocks away, to pick up some items that were needed. Maia looked out the window, she saw there was still some time left, but asked a serious question then. "Hey Auntie? If it gets too late, can I just stay here with you and uncle tonight? Cause I don't want to really be walking around alone after dark?", she asked. Her aunt Diana smiled at her then. "Of course dear. We would love to have you visit at anytime. You know your welcome here all the time, or just stay here for the night if you can't make it home before it gets dark. We will call your father to let him know your here", Diane said. Maia thanked her aunt then left and headed over to the towns bakery, and hoped she would make it back before dark.



Maia made it to the bakery in town, but once she got there, her mood changed. She saw that there was a line of four people ahead of her, all waiting for their order to be done and made. Maia placed her order then took a seat. The bakery was cozy, with tables and chairs around the place. Maia took a seat at a table near the fire, to keep warm. As she gazed and looked into the flames, she lost track of time. It wasn't until she felt someone touch her arm that made her jump. Maia turned to see it was just the owner. "Hello Madam. Sorry it took so long, but your order is ready now", the baker said. Maia thanked her, before following to go her her order. Few loafs of bread and couple of muffins. Once the owner wrapped everything up, Maia paid for it. Then as she did, Maia saw nobody else was there in the shop.



So she asked the owner where did everyone go? Maia learned from the owner that it was late, and the shop was about to close. Maia thanked the lady, then left. As she walked out the shop, Maia pulled her coat closer to keep warm. When she was about half way to her aunt's shop, is when Maia started to feel strange, like someone was following her. With not walking to lead them to where she was going, she slowed her pace. As Maia walked quietly, she tried to listen but didn't hear anything. Her instincts warned her to be careful, so Maia decided stop by a closed shop for a moment. Maia took a breath to relax and let he guard down a little, then to use her empathy power, to try and get a sense of who was following her. What Maia felt from whoever it was, was not danger, but like they were curious. The person was curious about her for some reason.



With this knowledge, Maia shopped by a shop with it's light still on, but she stopped in the shadows, and waited for the person to finally reveal themselves. As she waited, Maia took a few strong options out of her bag, but stayed to where she was standing at. Maia's empathy told her, that the person was real close, but she couldn't see where they were, and Maia was getting tired of waiting. So she just spoke. "Alright who are you? And why are you following me? Just show yourself already..", she said. Maia was glad that her sister packed her bag with everything that she needed. With things from different potions, stakes, silver and other things, so Maia was ready to deal with anything. With a stake in one hand, and a potion in the other, now all Maia had to do was wait. The sooner the person showed themselves, then the sooner Maia could go home.
