History:
Camus came from a long line of druids that served the Seelie Court as ambassadors, advisers, and knights. Camus had an affinity for the Druid arts and learn fast, adapt quickly, and remember what he read and saw with uncanny clarity which sped up his societal progression. He passed every test thrown at him at the age of 20 and then was allowed to serve as a soldier in Queen Titania and King Oberon's army. After surviving a 5 year campaign against imposing Unseelie forces and displaying remarkable heroics not usual for a common soldier as young as himself, Camus was made an honorary knight of the court.
Camus's parents with his father being a personal guard to King Oberon himself and his mother a trusted maiden of Queen Titania were over joyed at his success. Their only other child, Camus's sister Tolitha had disappeared into the mortal realm and had been missing for a century. Camus never got a chance to meet her but despite failed attempts made already swore that he would figure out what had happened to her whether it was good or bad.
Centuries passed and Camus only became more skilled in both combat and magic. Camus learned to channel the strength and power of the bear and could communicate with most animals found in nature in both his realm and the mortal realm and learned how to made a herbal concoction or powder capable of just about anything. An expert swordsman among his own kind and master hunter Camus often found himself between his own world and duties to the Court and the mortal world searching for his sister.
Because of this he grew accustom to many human habits, practices, and customs and learned a great deal on how to traverse and find aid. Overall Camus detests the mortal world as he has found their destruction of nature to be unforgivable and because of such heavy incorporation of iron in just about everything humans do, including bathing in iron enriched waters, and riding around big metal toxic vehicles. But the people themselves were fascinating to Camus, especially the Mystics. Their use of magic though arcaic to what Camus was use to, was interesting and effective enough to do great feats.
Camus upon his visits has learned to stay close to rain forests, dense jungles, and for more populated areas he stays in camping areas. Though for short durations, being in large cities can make him sick, and he prefers smaller rural areas to explore and investigate. He finds people to help should a lead require entry into major cities or towns. Back in his own realm Camus as of late, due to centuries of little success, has been pressured by his parents to give up his search and focus on his duties to the courts to advance even further. Camus as of late has been torn between his honor bound oath to find his sister and his honor bound oath to search the court.
Personality:
Camus has always had an incredible memory, though not quite eidetic memory when it comes to text and symbols, Camus has developed an intricate memory process to recall information he needs. But more impressive than this is a sort of adoptive muscle memory where when it comes to physical movements and activities, Camus only needs to see it once and can perform it himself. This tends to allow him to adapt to changing social settings effectively, like dancing or ice skating movements and things like that. Camus enjoys showing off in things like this, it makes people interested and opened to speaking with him, and ultimately helping him.
Like most members of his kind, Camus has a great respect and appreciation for nature and is very connected to it. He is usually kind and caring of others though because of his age can be patronizing to mortals he meets and often speaks and acts in an old-fashioned or outdated way much to the amusement of most he comes across. Camus can be stiff and overly formal due to his time serving the Court but in time can learn to "loosen up" but it is usually a process. Like all of his kind, when Camus makes a deal with someone, he has to keep his word no matter what and always does. Because of this he has learned how to greatly manipulate conversation and answer questions without actually answering them. He is very good at not telling the truth without actually lying. He is fiercely loyal to his people and would never betray them for any reason.
Even when confronted by an enemy or threat, Camus shows the utmost courtesy. Though this can sometimes be because he feels superior and above his opponent or acquaintance more than respect. Camus though intelligent, wise, and inquisitive often lacks a sense of humor. He usually doesn't understand jokes but even when he does, centuries of discipline and tact often take hold and prevent any open signs of amusement outside of rare glimpses of a smirk.
Strengths/Powers:
Camus like most of his kind, has an unnatural swiftness and grace. It would be rare to see him trip, slip in mud or water, sink in sand or snow, or be effected much senses wise with the elements. Camus reactiveness and agility can be comparable to young vampires, werewolves, or Demi-Gods though not his overall speed. Camus has unnatural accuracy too, whether it be with a fire arm though not preferred, spear, or bow, one can be sure he will almost always hit his target, and hit it exactly where he wanted. In a forest setting Camus has something akin to a sixth sense, as if the forest speaks to him itself, and it always provides. In such a setting even the most stealthy or magically cloaked could not sneak up upon him or set an effective trap.
Camus can turn any piece of nature into a weapon if he needs to. A stick grabbed will become hard enough to defend from a steel sword, the vine picked up becomes an effective whip, or the log raised for cover effectively stops bullet rounds. But Camus from the woods can magically summon a blade or bow should he need it, pulling things seemingly straight out of the ground or uncovering them from leaves or brush. Camus always knows where to go in nature and how to find what ever he needs whether a plant, animal, portal, or location. Camus can communicate with almost any animal both in gesture and Fae tongue, they always seem to understand, but this is simply a communion and request not necessary forced obeying. Through powders and herbs Camus knows how to lay down powerful barriers, use trees as a conduit for magical warding, or create antidotes or offensive concoctions.
Camus knows some runic magic of his people, enough to open a portal back home or to enhance tools. Lastly Camus can invoke aspects of an animal, his chosen has been a bear, he can take on its strength, claws, enhanced senses and with a prepared potion can even briefly transform into one entirely. There are tattoos of butterfly wings on his back, through Fae tongued incantation Camus can sprout butterfly like wings and use them for flight.
Weaknesses:
Camus like all fae is extremely weak to iron. Something with just an impurity of iron within it is enough to irritate and incite an allergic like reaction. Purer iron items burns and can kill him. If Camus makes a deal, he must hold up the deal, unless there was a loophole. This can often be used to force Camus into only telling the truth by those who know of the Fae and this condition. Camus has pointed ears and must hide them with his long hair or a hat in the mortal world. Camus can be socially awkward at times through not understanding certain human customs he never encountered before or through the act of looking to be in his mid twenties but acting like an old man.

Camus Heleberos knew better than to keep a portal open for very long between his world and the mortal world. It attracted the attention of dark forces. However his compatriots were ambushed just as they arrived by dark fae. They were greatly outnumbered, their best bet would be to go through the portal and close it, then return from another location. Camus held the portal open as the others fought their way to it. Already Camus could feel the forest whispering him of the evil that approached. Camus called out in his tongue "We cannot hold the portal open any longer, we must go now!" With some risky acrobatics and a few unavoidable wounds suffered, his comrades made it to the portal leaping through. Camus jumped through behind them and upon entering the woods of the mortal world he bagan closing it. But it was too late, the dark force Camus sensed sprang free along with a single Dark Fae just seconds before the portal closed.
The black smoke engulfed the Dark Fae and blackend his eyes, it was no long just an enemy, but a monster now; a demon. One of Camus's friends rushed the demon but was hurled back telekenetically. The three remaining circled the demon chanting a spell while Camus reached down to the ground and grabbed the hilt of a fae forged blade and pulled it up and at ready. Roots from the nearby trees flew up from under the demon and wrapped around its legs holding it in place. The demons struggled to get free but could not. The three Fae chanted again and thorns sprouted from the roots, impaling the demon with painful toxins that would paralyze and weaken it. Camus now directly behind the demon with one swift thrust, impailed the demon. The blade glowed dark as if it absorbed the demon. Camus then blade first, pushed the sword into the ground, and the ground too the blade.
Camus ensured his brother in arms were not fatally injured and provided a small elixir, a sip each, that would numb the pain and heal their wounds with the hour. Sealing what wounds they had with a clay like substance coated in a herbal remedy they moved on. The Fae had challenged Camus to a duel, all four against just Camus, Camus stated conditions were if he had won then the next time he went to search for his sister then they would help. If Camus lost then he had to do their knightly chores and gaurd duty for a month. Camus won with minor difficulty and thus their oaths had to be fulfilled. Though thankful for company of his own kin, Camus wondered if he would have been better off on his own. His fellow knights were not as accustomed to the mortal realm as he was and he might end up spending more time babysitting them from the dangers and proper etiquette expected of them than actually making progress on his investigation. None the less, they had to find a different way back home anyways, so Camus began their journey in the woods they were in, walking a path the wilds pulling at him along the way to a different portal location they could open home. Once found, they would begin where Camus left off his last visit.
