Sedaiyus had awoken to the sound of his alarm clock going off. It was an orchestral melody from one of many Hans Zimmer hits which was one of Sedaiyus's favorite composers to listen to and the perfect way to start a Monday morning. He looked over to find that the companion he had spent the night with from his party the previous night was already gone. He was not upset though, he smiled elvish like as he reminisced at the wonderful time he had with her. Sedaiyus got out of bed and stretched, he let the music continue to play, it was relaxing and beautiful after all. He made his bed then spread a yoga mat on the floor and proceeded to do twenty minutes of yoga. He showered and chose his apparel for the day, a task that usually took about an hour, never was something so simple made so complicated by Sedaiyus before than picking the perfect outfit for that particular day and weather.
Then there was how he planned to do his hair, whether he would shave or trim his scruff, what kind of cologne to wear and much more. He was as bad as his mother at getting ready but Sedaiyus enjoyed the process, it helped him get into a groove, and unlike most people it had nothing to do with looking good to other people but everything to do with making himself feel good. Sedaiyus after finally picking out the attire he wanted and after changing into it made his way to the kitchen where he got to do one of his favorite things; cook. He made a large breakfast with chocolate chip pancakes with whip cream on top and strawberry syrup made from scratch not maple syrup, thick cinnamon french toast with powdered sugar, scrambled eggs, some bacon, and freshly squeezed orange juice. Sedaiyus ate like this often and never seemed to gain any weight, it was a blessing, and Sedaiyus fully embraced it.
Sedaiyus packed his laptop up and headed out of his apartment building and into the busy city. He headed down a few blocks to a coffee shop as he always did. The moment he walked in all the workers had a smile on their face and the other customers couldn't help but turn and look too. Sedaiyus was one of their best customers, he was polite, joked around a bit, and was really easy to talk to. He over tipped and even helped promote the shop from time to time and everyone that worked there was always welcome to his parties. The manager of the place had actually found his wife through one of Sedaiyus's parties. But beyond that someone like Sedaiyus walking into a small time coffee place was hard not to take notice.
Sedaiyus held many characteristics that enticed those around him, he was a blandiloquent man, anyone who talked with him could attest to that. He had evocative, alluring, ocean blue eyes that seemed to sparkle in the light which held a very enticing appeal and many who found themselves staring too long also found themselves easily getting lost in them. He had a swimmers body, tall, muscular but not overly buff or burly, well toned and masculine and yet the way he moved and carried himself was elegantly graceful. It was really no wonder Sedaiyus was more often than not the cynosure of all eyes. Sedaiyus despite being athletic and active always had smooth and soft skin and despite going to the shop to work at least three times a week, many insisted greeting him and a few insisted on hugs which Sedaiyus was never opposed to.
Sedaiyus got very good at controlling his strength after the altercation with one of his mothers flings. As a result he always had a gentleness to him that people appreciated. Perhaps beyond all the physical marvels that Sedaiyus was gifted with was the extraordinary way he carried himself. Sedaiyus was incredibly confident and outgoing when interacting with others. As easy-going as he was relaxing and writing his novel, Sedaiyus was as comfortable addressing complete strangers, people of power, or an old friend, never getting mad for being interrupted or distracted. With this self-assurance of himself came also an astonishing smile. Sedaiyus had a smile that could light up the night sky itself, make the most grumpy and toughest of men smile back, and brighten up the mood of any occasion. He made people feel good just by being there and it made people drawn to him.
And with all of this to speak of Sedaiyus was someone you could find enjoyment by talking to even with trivial things. Not just educated and articulate Sedaiyus had a soothing and dulcet voice. It was clear but usually soft when he spoke and mellifluous to listen to. There was never any question ever about why he was such a likable guy nor to how he always seemed to make a hell of a first impression. Sedaiyus ordered his usual and sat down, unpacking his computer from his bag he had a couple of people come up to him who were greeted as usual, with that wonderful smile and cheerful tone when they asked him how he was doing and brought up the party from the previous night. Sedaiyus got his coffee and by the time his computer was plugged in and started working after he spoke to everyone there, an hour had come and gone. It was nothing to Sedaiyus though, a pleasant morning, to start what would be another miraculous week.

It had been a long weekend, and things were just starting to settle down. First her family had just traveled from the West coast over to the East coast. It had been years since the last time Maia set food in NYC, not since many years ago when she was young and Maia's family used to live in Bronx NY for a few years. Maia would visit her mother's side of the family. But if she was going to be honest, one could say Maia was a little uneasy being back inside of NY. It was where some of this started, and the city had both good and bad memories for her, which gave her mixed feelings about coming back here. The good was, Maia had plenty of family in NY and her little brother Joseph was born here, but the bad was it reminded her, of the last fight her parents had. Then after that her mother left the second time, Maia's father took both girls, then left the city and didn't bother to look back again after that. Maia would still visit family once a year but that was pretty much it.
Now here she was once again. All because Maia got accepted to a NYC College with a part scholarship. Plus, her sister Meme also got her accepted letter too, so the girls figured why not, at least they know a little about the city well and which areas were safe to live in. Plus Maia's father got stationed at the military base of Fort Hamilton as well, so if she needed anything, Maia knew her father was close by. So, after taking the weekend to get settled in and unpack everything, things were good to go. The following Monday, Maia found a job and went for a interview. She was hired on to work for a simple call center. Now she just had to go enroll at the college.
Maia went to go enroll for her classes and just took the time to walk around the school. She was learning her new campus, finding out what classes are where, then where the student center is. Once she was all finished, Maia left and decided to grab something to eat. She wondered if one of her old favorite bakery's was still there or if it had closed. As she was walking down the street, her mind went to someone. Her best friend. The boy that Maia gave her necklace to. She thought about him often, and always wondered what happened to him after the last day she saw him.
As she found that her favorite old bakery that included a internet cafe shop that was still there, Maia placed a order for a hot chocolate, two blueberry muffins, and a few chocolate chip cookies. She had some time to kill, before going to class later on that day. But as Maia was sitting, waiting on her order, her mind went back to him. How on that last day of school, Maia gave her friend the necklace she always wore for good luck and hoped it would help bring him luck on his test. But she also hoped it would help with his headaches. Maia wore that necklace not only for luck, but the stone had a lot of her personal energy in it too, from all of the good Healing and Protection spells, that Maia used since she first learned magic and which ones worked for her. So where ever her friend was now, at least Maia knew he would be well protected.
But there was only one problem, and that was Maia couldn't help but worry for her friend, even though he left without saying a word to her or why he disappeared. Maia sighed, maybe that was one puzzle she would just never figure out. But even though the boy disappeared on her, Maia still hoped he would be safe and alright to this day. When her order was called, Maia went to pick it up, and go look for a seat. But from what she could tell, the bakery inside was all full, but she saw two empty seats, so she went to sit at one of the empty tables in a corner near the window to look out at the city. Besides, it was a warm day but just a little cold. Maia ran a hand through her brown hair, to move it out of the way and back from her face, her dark hair was in a half and half down. The top half of her hair was braided and held up held back by a small headpiece with a white moonstone in the front.
After going to her table, Maia took a seat in a car and faced the corner wall. She could still look outside the window to her right and to her left Maia could fully see through her dark hair if anyone came by her. Only people who went past her was the shop staff to go back into the kitchen. But she didn't know why all of a sudden that her mind turned to her friend. Maybe it was because now she was back in this town again? Or it could be, that he was part of the reason what she left? Or it could be about her necklace? If Maia was going to be honest with herself, she thought it was because of the necklace. It was a necklace that Maia made herself and not only did it have a lot of Maia's own personal energy, but it had the spells she used for healing and protection as well. For Maia raised her hand to her neck where her old necklace used to be, then dropped her hand. She hoped that her friend from school was alright and that the necklace brought him luck and protection wherever he may be. Maia knew she had to stop her mind from spinning. She reached over for her hot chocolate to drink it.
But just before Maia could take her first sip, she felt someone bump into her chair. Whoever did it probably bumped her by accident, she guessed, since there was only a small pathway to get to the bakery counter from the kitchen. But whoever did it, came from the side away from the wall towards the seating area . But when she looked up to see who bumped her, Maia saw it was the last person she expected to see. The person was tall, he had dark hair and blue eyes. His eyes was familiar to her. If Maia's mind wasn't playing tricks on her, she thought she was seeing her friend from school or someone that looked a whole lot like him. After getting her thoughts together, she spoke quietly. "Excuse me Sir. Have we met? You look familiar.., she said. Maia wasn't sure if she was right or wrong, so instead she thought it was best to just ask. But if the truth was she was right, Maia never thought to run into her friend again after he disappeared on her in high school, since the last time she saw him. And what made him do that in the first place? Maia didn't know but she waited for the man to answer her question.

Typing away for what seemed like forever Sedaiyus paused a moment and took a deep breath. Sometimes it felt like he was never going to finish his book. Sedaiyus grabbed his cup of coffee and went to take a sip only to notice it was empty. Had he really drank it all already? How long had he even been there? Sedaiyus was so focused on working once he finally got settled that time sort of slipped right by. Which for him, because of who he was, was quite ironic. Sedaiyus stared disappointingly at his empty cup frowning slightly. He debated a moment if he should get another or not, then finally he decided why not. On his way up to the line though he accidentally bumped into someone else that was sitting down. Instinctively he turned and began to apologize "I am so sorry, I wasn't paying attention, please forgive my clumsiness." Sedaiyus said regretfully smiling in a friendly manner. He went to continue on but the woman spoke. She asked if they had met before. Sedaiyus looked at her for a moment.
She was incredibly beautiful, it was hard to believe he would have forgotten someone like her. But after a moment it clicked. Sedaiyus lit up, he smiled happily now realizing who it was. His tone in almost disbelief, he replied "No way, Maia? Is it really you? What are the odds? I haven't seen you since high school. It is so good to see you again. What have you been up to?" Sedaiyus asked curiously now taking a seat next to her. He was sort of staring more than he should have been but it was hard to help it, Sedaiyus was still trying to convince himself that he wasn't looking at an illusion or anything. Almost immediately after sitting Sedaiyus appeared to have remembered something important "I can't believe I almost forgot." Reaching under his shirt, he pulled out the necklace she had given him. "You know I have worn this everyday since you gave it to me. Almost lost it a few times but I made sure to get it back. I figured I ought to since we would meet again, I just didn't realize when." Sedaiyus took off the necklace and looked at it a moment.
It reminded him of a simpler time and that sometimes even the fates cannot choose your destiny. He gestured to give it back. "You probably want it back. I suppose I might have borrowed it a bit longer than you intended, I didn't mean to, things were pretty complicated at the time and then one day became one week, then one week a month, then next thing you know its been years but here you are as beautiful as you were when we first met." Sedaiyus chuckled faintly as he caught himself being his typical self who forgot about boundaries when he became passionate about something. "I am sorry, I am probably making you uncomfortable. I didn't mean to, it's just like you have not changed at all and I am a little shocked that of all the places I could have run into you, it is incredible. You have to fill me in on the details, what did I miss?" Sedaiyus sat patiently with a amiable expression on his face. He ran his hands throw his hair a bit to make sure it wasn't in his face then leaned forward on the table waiting for Maia to speak.
It did feel like forever since he had last seen her. Highschool seemed like a fairytale distant past or him. Once he found out who he really was, allot changed, and very quickly. He began to be targeted by monsters and his father patronized him the more resistant he became to fulfilling the destiny that he laid out for him. It was all too much to keep around those he cared about and too dangerous to stay in one place long. Then there was the incident with his mothers unwelcomed guest that ended tragically. Sedaiyus had to leave and figure things out, especially how to control his power, or he might have killed many others. Sedaiyus didn't stop to think what he left behind though, he was always looking forward and it didn't resonate in his head until now that he had lost allot more than just friends, family, and experiences but an entire life that could have been different under different circumstances. But Sedaiyus hated to dwell, it was the here and now and that was what mattered the most. Surely this had been a surprise and unexpected but Sedaiyus was happy he decided to go to shop this particular day.

As she sat there at the coffee shop, in a new city and a place she hasn't been to in years, one could say that Maia was feeling a little on edge. It seemed like no matter what she did, or tried to get her mind to stop spinning, it kept going back over to the same thing. Her friend. Maybe it could be because she thought about him often and hoped that he was alright. Or maybe it was because she gave the boy her necklace. That necklace was considered to be her good luck charm. It had a lot of Maia's own personal energy into it. Everything from all of the Healing and Protection spells that she used and worked for her, from the first time Maia started doing her magic.
After a while, she just shook her head. There was nothing that she could do about it now, Maia hasn't seen her old friend since high school when he disappeared on her. Plus the boy left and had been gone for years. But he was her best friend back then, so it's only natural for her to hope he's doing well. But thinking about that boy, also brought her mind back to the here and now. Maia felt something warm, like it was almost hot. She looked down to see that one of her two neck felt warm. Maia wore two necklaces that were given to her. The first one on top was a silver gold jewelry that her mother passed down to her, a necklace that all the healers in Maia's family wore. It was a silver gold necklace with purple beads and a Amethyst healing stone in the middle. A gift from her mother that she never took off. That one felt cool to the touch. But Maia also wore a second piece of jewlery, that had another healing stone but designed differently. This one had purple and gold beads with the stone in a darker color. It was a silver necklace that had the main stone Amethyst in the shape of a tear drop. Her second necklace felt really warm and it started glowing. This caused her to panick, and jump, which resulted in her spilling things. It didn't help that at the same time, someone bumped into her by accident as well.
Maia hoped that she didn't spill any of her hot chocolate on the person, since she saw it was a gentlemen in a expensive business suit or something that looked like it.. That would just be her luck, but Maia was still caught off guard by her necklace glowing. Since when did it do that! The only thing that made sense to her, was that Maia's necklace was trying to warn her about something. But nothing made sense to her. When she heard someone speak to apologize about bumping into her, Maia also had to say that as well. "Oh I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to be so clumsy. Are you okay? Really sorry about that. I hope I didn't spill anything on you?", she said. Maia really hoped that she didn't run in the person's clothes or stained them. Once she Maia turned around, she saw the man turn towards her and what she saw made her stop in her tracks. The man was wearing another necklace that looked just like her old one, the one that Maia had to redo the same spells. So what was going on here? Was she over thinking all of this? Or was there something more to her necklace glowing? All she could do was try her best to figure everything out.
Because after she spilled her drink, she was going to sat she was sorry again and hoped that the guy's suit wasn't ruined. But before she could do anything, she looked up and saw the person's face and she saw who it was. The guy in front of her, looked really familiar. Almost too familiar, like a mirror image of her friend. It couldn't be him. Or could it? The gentlemen had the same dark hair and ocean blue eyes. Maia might not be good with names, but she never forgot a face.
Maia wasn't sure if her mind was playing tricks on her or not at first. But when she saw the gentlemen take a seat directly across from her, she gave him a puzzled look. Then that's when he finally spoke. "No way, Maia? Is it really you? What are the odds? I haven't seen you since high school. It is so good to see you again. What have you been up to?", the man said. Maia gave him a puzzled look, as it took her a minute to figure out who he was and place his voice. But then it finally click. It really was her friend Sed standing there. After getting her thoughts together she spoke. "Is this possible? Sed? But how? Is this really you? Come here?", she said. Maia then placed her hand on his arm to turn him to face her. When she saw his eyes, that when she knew the truth. And answered him. "Oh my goodness. It is you Sedaiyus. Wow the odds must be high. I know I haven't seen you since high school when you disappeared on me. Now to run into you here? It's a honor to see you again now", she said. Even though Maia was still caught off guard from the surprise of running into her friend, but Maia was glad that her friend Sedaiyus was alright.
To be honest, Maia really didn't know what to say or do at the moment. She was still in shock right now. Right as Maia was going to ask her friend a question about where has Sed been all this time, before she could speak then, Sed spoke first. "I can't believe I almost forgot. You know I have worn this everyday since you gave it to me. Almost lost it a few times but I made sure to get it back. I figured I ought to since we would meet again, I just didn't realize when.", Sedaiyus said. Upon hearing this, it made Maia look down right then. Maia saw that Sed took off the necklace she gave him and then they both looked at it for a moment. To Maia, there was something about the necklace that blended well with Sed's dark hair and blue eyes. Inside her point of view, it looked right on him and Maia was glad she gave it to him.
If she was going to be honest with herself then, Maia was happy she gave her friend the necklace when they were in high school. So if all the healing and protection spells she used helped keep Sedaiyus safe all this time, then it was worth it to her. And Maia expressed that to him. "No it's okay. You keep it Sed. It fits you better. Plus it has kept you safe and given you good luck. It's not meant for me to take it back. It looks good on you", she said. Maia did her best to help explain that to him, so that Sed could understand what she was telling him, Maia knew that sooner or later, they she was going to have to talk to Sed to tell him who and what she was. Maia had to be completely honest with him.
Maia then reached out to touch the purple Amethyst stone on the necklace that Sed was wearing. To her surprise, that the necklace didn't shock her at the touch. Instead the jewelry just felt warm to her and it made Maia give one of her lovely smiles. Then she spoke again. "It's okay. No your not making me feel uncomfortable. If anything, I do actually feel more comfortable around you then I do on my own. Like you, I'm shocked to run into you. But I'm happy about it. As for filling you in on the details goes as for what I been up to? Do you mind if we can go for a little walk? This usn't the place to talk about that. Will you come with me?", she said. Maia then got up to her feet and she went to go throw away the empty papers from her tray. She then walked over to the coffee shop's counter and placed a new order. "Can I get a hot chocolate, a coffee, two blueberry muffins to go please. Please add cream and sugar on the side too", she said. After placing her order, Maia waiting for her order to get ready. She watched as the baker fixed the coffee and hot chocolate, before the lady put the order on the counter for Maia to take. Once when everything was done and ready to go, Maia turned back to where her friend Sedaiy us was sitting and Maia then waved her hand calling for Sed to come join her. Now Maia had to wait and see what Sedaiyus would do next.

Sedaiyus was relieved that Maia was not mad at him for not staying in touch. When she insisted that he kept the necklace he put it back around his neck. Maia wished to talk but seemed to be uncomfortable speaking of personal matters in such a public setting. Sedaiyus could respect that. He smiled happily and responded "Of course we can go somewhere else, anywhere you feel more comfortable. Perhaps one of the parks, they are quite nice during the day. I just have to grab my things quickly." Sedaiyus went back over to where he was originally sitting and packed his stuff into his back and slung that over his shoulder. He then walked back over to Maia who was ordering some things to go so they could walk out together. His saphire eyes sparkling as he gazed upon her happy to be reunited with an old friend. Cheerfully he spoke "Where ever you wish to go Maia, lead the way."
It's hard to describe a complex person like Sedaiyus in just a few words, but most know that above all else he is brilliantly perceptive. It didn't take much for him to know that Maia had something a little more important to talk to him about than just her travels over the years. Sedaiyus wondered if it was something more akin to the world he now lived in. He was not sure how to feel about that, the things he had seen, someone as lovely as Maia should not have to endure that world. Of course being leaderly, empathetic and confident, Sedaiyus would not just let the world play out the destiny he wanted for himself and thus this mindset extended to his friends as well. He would shield them from harm, lead them to greatness, and help them find happiness, even if he had to carry them the whole way. It was just in his nature.
Sedaiyus had few friends left. Many he had to leave behind so they wouldn't get dragged into the dangers that his life would often bring about. Others were familiar with such things and a handful even like him, but many of them fell often heroic in deeds but tragic in reality. Sedaiyus did envy some, many had families to lean on for aid, other demi-gods could evoke the help of their divine parent from time to time. Sedaiyus had to do just the opposite. He had to stay away from his father and his father's allies and he also had to avoid his Olympian brothers and sisters as much as possible. All the while he still faced the same dangers that many of his kind were known to brave, which made him that much stronger than everyone else having to rely solely on his own might. Sedaiyus addef simply "Well, where would you like to start?"
Sedaiyus figured he should let Maia steer the conversation so she would feel more at ease. She probably had questions for Sedaiyus as well. Sedaiyus wondered what he would and would not tell her. He certainly did not wish to lie, but the alternative would no doubt make him sound a bit crazy, and he didn't want to offend anyone or scare them. Sedaiyus awaited patiently unsure of what would happen next, but he was sure, it was the right place he should be.

Maia was surprise when Sedaiyus thought she was mad at home for not keeping in touch. Just the though caughter her off guard to where she gave a small frown at first. But after thinking it over, Maia nodded her head on and almost smiled. That was almost just like the Sedaiyus that she remembered. Was her friend still the same? Or did he change over time. Maia didn't know but she was curious to find out more about her friend and what Sedaiyus has been up to all this time. Just ask Maia was going to mention going somewhere else, she heard Sedaiuus tell her of course they can go somewhere else besides the coffee shop to talk. The part that surprised her was when Sedsiyus told her anywhere that Maia feels comfortable, just Sedaiyus had to go get his things. Before Maia could answer she saw him run off to do exactly that, to grab a few things including a backpack she saw Sedaiyus throw over his shoulder.
While she waited for her friend to get his things, Maia had placed a order for two blueberry muffins, one hot chocolate and one coffee. Once her order was done, Maia handed the coffee for Sedaiyus to him, then stopped to wrap her hair in a scarf to cover it, put her sunglasses back on before she took the hot chocolate in one hand and picked up the bag with the muffins in it with the other. Maia was always cautious now a days because she had to be careful. Once Maia was all set to walk out, she told her hand toward the door for her friend to follow her outside. As they walked outside, Maia spoke quietly to her friend as they walked side by side. "Nice timing Sed. And I wish you go somewhere so we can talk more privately. You can't do that in a coffee shop. I saw a park about a block and a half from here. One with a little pond and benches. It's not far.", she said. Maia then did her best to try to talk to Sedaiyus while keeping a good eye on her surrondings and the people around her. But if Maia had to admit, she did feel better walking with Sedaiyus then alone by herself.
As they were walking to the park, Maia tried to think of something good to talk about and she didn't know why she got nervous all of a sudden. When a idea came to her, Maia just kind of rolled with it. "So how is your mom doing? Last time I saw you years ago, you mentioned you were worried about your mom. Is she doing okay?", she said. Maia then turned to glance over at her friend and hoping that Sedaiyus would give her good news. When they wee about to reach the park, Maia suddenly remembered something she had to give him and she even spoke about it. "Oh by the way Sed. I have a small gift for you too. I kept it after I transferred schools just in case I ran into you again somewhere. Hope you like it", she said. Maia knew that was right and the actually truth. She held on it something all these years and carried it with her just in case she saw Sedaiyus again, but Maia held onto it because it was the only thing that reminded Maia of her best friend.
Maia was leading the way and she looked around for a place for them to sit. When she saw a bench along the Walk way but off a little, near the wall with a great few of the ocean, she decided to go there. Maia always loved being near the ocean as one of her strongest elements was Water. Plus being near water always help relax her whenever Maia was stressed. Once she heard Sedaiyus ask her a question of where would she like to start? Maia gave a small smile then turned to go sit down. She turned so her back was almost to the ocean but enough where nobody could sneak up behind to to her her off guard. Maia then looked up at Sedaiyus and she smiled at him before speaking. "So Sed tell me. I would give you a big hug, but I'm not sure if your girlfriend or friend would get mad if I do? Do you have a girl? I don't want to make anyone mad, so they don't bite my head off you know", she said. Maia was teasing Sedaiyus just like she always used to when they were in school. But that was true too. "You always had a way with the ladies. So I will settle for a small hug? How about that?", she said. Mais then walked over a few steps, before she put one arm around Sedaiyus's back before she leaned against his side, and it felt familiar to her, that even with the difference in their heights because Sedaiyus was taller then her, Maia remembered how they used to be. On times when Maia would be good and play around jokingly with him, or with Sedaiyus to lean down to pick her up or when Maia would have to stand on her tip toes to be almost at his height. But they still used to be familiar around each other and in ways Maia missed that. Maia gave him a quick hug and pat on the back before she moved away and back to where she was standing before. Maia then sat down on the bench.
Finally after sitting down on the bench, Maia tried to get comfortable but if she were going to be honest, being outside when it was close to getting dark always worried her and she had good reason to be worried. Maia feared for her safety after what happened to her recently, and she tried to think of how she could explain that to her friend. Besides Maia about to tell Sedaiyus that she was a Witch was fine and easy to do. But the second thing and the one that worried her was how could Maia tell her friend about the recent attack on her? And Would Sedsiyus think less of her if she told him? Maia debated on how much to tell her friend and how much not to. But if they were going to hang out together and still be friends, then Maia knew she had to tell him the truth. How to start? Maia followed her instincts and just let them guide her. "Hey Sed want don't you come sit down. Will you join me? Besides your gift and catching up. There's a few things I wanted to talk to you about. I know we are still good friends, at least I hope so. But if you want to hang out with me or see me again, there are a few things you should know first. And I'm curious what you been up to all this time?", she said. Maia did her best to try to keep the conversation neutral and not go into anything bad right away off the bat. But Maia knew sooner or later, she was going to have to tell Sedaiyus the truth about what happened. Back when they were in school Maia was always honest with Sedaiyus and she didn't want that to change. So now the only thing she could do was wait to see what happens. While waiting for her Sedaiyus to sit down, Maia took a sip of her hot chocolate as she waited to see what her friend would say or do next.
